The five home styles
Japandi
Japandi blends the quiet simplicity of Japanese design with the cozy practicality of Scandinavian homes. It's built on soft neutrals, natural materials, low furniture and very few, very good things. The result is a room that feels like a deep breath. Key pieces: low sofa, light oak, paper lantern, handmade ceramics.
Modern Coastal
Modern Coastal is about light, air and ease. It uses soft whites, sandy neutrals and gentle blues and greens, with natural textures like linen, rattan and whitewashed timber. It's relaxed without being themed: no anchors or seashell signs needed. Key pieces: slouchy white sofa, rattan chair, jute rug, linen sheers.
Warm Minimalist
Warm Minimalism keeps the calm of minimalism but loses the coldness. It uses a tight palette of creamy whites, beiges and mushroom tones, soft curved shapes and tactile materials like bouclé, plaster and travertine. Every piece earns its place. Key pieces: curved bouclé sofa, travertine table, plaster textures.
Modern Classic
Modern Classic takes the best of traditional rooms (tailored furniture, rich colors, good proportions) and makes it fresh and easy to live with. Think deep greens and navy, cream walls, brass details, velvet and books. Key pieces: tailored sofa, velvet chair, brass lamp, books and art.
Organic Boho
Organic Boho is warm, relaxed and full of life. It layers earthy colors, natural textures, plants and collected treasures. It's the most personal of the five styles, but it still needs a plan, so it looks curated rather than cluttered. Key pieces: squishy sofa, rattan, layered rugs, lots of plants.
